Those of you who have followed me for a few years have heard of this series, so welcome to you new readers out there.
I started working on this project seven years ago. It started as a question; what if we didn’t win World War 2? As that question swirled in my mind, ideas for a book series taking place in a fantasy world started to slowly emerge.
This has been a slow going process as I’ve been growing in my craft of being a writer and with life happening. I hope though, you’ll bear with me as I’m striving to finish the first novel in the series and then seek to get it published.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the free short stories and, hopefully, soon, I’ll publish some short stories and flash fiction in a magazine.
Here’s the over arching story synopsis.
Norfall, a world lush with tradition that is heavily linked to the Giyáz: magical beings of varying races who live along side the humans. Steam and black powder are the new magic of the modern age creating a rift between those who value the old ways and those who desire to watch the unfolding of a new era.
At the center of this change is the Chawong Empire, lead by Emperor Washigo Jipho who desires to eradicate the new magic system and change the old ways to fit his new empire.
